To view the source video/project: www.dirtyshirt.info Installing a Door Stopper on the garage-entry door is done opposite of what you would think. Watch the video ...
@tmonator That’s what you get when amateurs install things they’re not good at.Never ever install one that way especially with the lady in between the wall and garage door. Freaky stuff.
sheba106. You never position yourself in any application for potential disaster. So yes, you are right, the door moves, she gets pinched in between…. This is a one man job. I do this every day, sometimes 6 to 8 openers a day, (I wish I was that busy now). I will make a video some day, a safe video, how to install a garage door opener. Putting yourself between a door and an opening is just foolish, and could have been deadly.
Wow…guys please….do not do what she did, you can get hurt badly. Instead, with the door closed, one guy can hold the opener and the other can attach the rail to the wall bracket AND THEN open the door for spacing.
@MrAks10
How is she going to get hurt really badly?
I open the door as high as possible, but a vice grip below the bottom roller and do exactly what she did. I been doing it a long time and never got hurt. Only thing I can think of you referring to is if she fell off the ladder or the door was improperly balanced and it would hit her arm.
@ThirdgenTa Good idea on putting the vice on the bottom roller. That might work because atleast you have something preventing the door from closing down. But these people showing the video did not mention or show that. You really think people who don’t do this for a living will think of it?
Your sensors are installed all wrong the sensors need to be installed inside the sensor bracket
How to adjust? My door opens half only and reverse.
Unbelievable that their way of installing includes the woman putting her body between the door and the frame, on a ladder. Pretty friggin dangerous.
@sms373 Yes i do agree with you because i install garage door openers!They can get easily damaged the way they have them installed.

@tmonator ; Why is that dangerous? The door coming down?
